Description

What Is Nutri-Hydrate?

Nutri-Hydrate is a powder supplement you mix into water and drink once a day. Not exactly complicated stuff, but it's what's actually in the scoop that matters.

Each 8g serving packs in the three branched-chain amino acids (Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine), a decent spread of electrolytes and minerals like Magnesium, Chloride, Potassium, Calcium and Zinc, a full B Vitamin complex, Vitamin C, plus a handful of other amino acids: Glutamine, Taurine, Glycine, Lysine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Methionine. There's also Choline bitartrate and Myo-Inositol thrown in.

The idea behind pulling all of that together into one powder is hydration, energy metabolism and everyday wellbeing, without you having to keep three or four separate supplements on your kitchen counter.

ℹ️

Quick heads up: this is a food supplement, not a medicine. It won't diagnose, treat or cure anything, and it's not a substitute for talking to your GP if something's actually wrong. Results vary from person to person too, so don't expect miracles overnight.

Who's This For?

If you know you don't drink enough water most days, this is an easy way to fix that without thinking too hard about it. Same goes if you train regularly and can't be bothered sorting five different pots of aminos and minerals, one scoop does the lot.

Works well for anyone who just wants scoop, stir, done rather than a whole cabinet of supplements to manage. And if you'd rather get your B vitamins from a plant and mineral base instead of a lab-made isolate, that's baked into the formula too.

How It Actually Works

Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine [1], the three BCAAs, are traditionally linked to muscle recovery, though the evidence [2, 3] is mixed, so they may help support physical performance [4] if you're already training regularly. Taurine, Glycine and Glutamine are commonly used in hydration formulas and may help support the body's everyday nutritional [5] needs. Myo-Inositol and Tryptophan [6, 7] are often included in wellbeing blends and are thought to help with general relaxation.

  • Magnesium (300 mg) Recognised [8] for its part in normal energy-yielding metabolism, magnesium also supports normal muscle function and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue [9].*
  • Potassium (260 mg) Potassium contributes to normal nervous system function [10] and normal muscle function, both directly tied into hydration.*
  • Vitamin C (250 mg) Between reducing tiredness and fatigue [11, 12] and protecting cells from oxidative stress, Vitamin C also contributes to normal energy metabolism.*
  • Zinc (3 mg) Zinc plays a role in normal cognitive function [13] and normal macronutrient metabolism.*
  • B Vitamin Complex (B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12) B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12 [14] work together to support normal energy metabolism, psychological function and reduced tiredness.*
  • Choline Bitartrate (500 mg) Choline bitartrate [15] contributes to normal lipid metabolism and to maintaining normal liver function.*

* EFSA-authorised health claim.

How To Use It

One 8g scoop, once a day, mixed into a glass of water. Same time each day tends to work best, mostly because it's easier to remember that way.

Give it a proper stir until it's fully dissolved, and it works fine alongside meals or a workout. It's not a replacement for drinking water throughout the day though, more of a top-up on your usual fluid intake.

Is It Any Good?

What Works

Everything's in one powder, no juggling separate tubs of electrolytes, aminos and vitamins. Several ingredients have recognised roles in energy metabolism. One scoop a day is easy to build into a routine, and it's backed by a 180-day guarantee if it turns out not to be for you.

What's Not So Great

It's a powder, so you're mixing it with water rather than swallowing a capsule, and you won't find it on a pharmacy shelf, shop only. Like most supplements, results aren't identical for everyone either.

A Word From Julie TheNutriShop's author & product analyst →

Before this went up for sale on the site, I went through the full ingredient list, checked the sourcing and put it against everything else we stock in this category. Honestly, I've tested a fair few hydration powders along the way, and most of them fall into one of two traps: they taste rough, or they've skimped on half the useful ingredients to save on cost.

Nutri-Hydrate avoids both. The electrolyte and B vitamin combo actually makes sense together, and the doses aren't just token amounts stuck on for the label. It's not going to fix anything on its own, no supplement does that, but as a daily habit that's very easy to stick to, I rate it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Nutri-Hydrate taste okay?

Better than most, honestly. It's not sweetened like a soft drink, more of a light, slightly citrusy flavour that doesn't overpower a plain glass of water.

Can I take this if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Not recommended without talking to your GP first. Same goes for children. It's not that there's a known issue, it's just that pregnancy and breastfeeding change how your body processes things, so it's worth getting the go-ahead first.

Will it upset my stomach?

Most people are fine with it. A handful notice some mild digestive discomfort the first few days, usually while their body adjusts to a new supplement, and it tends to settle down on its own.

Is it sold in Boots or Superdrug?

No, it's not stocked on pharmacy shelves. Nutri-Hydrate is only sold online, which is also how the pricing is consistent and the stock stays legit.

I'm on blood thinners, is that a problem?

If you're on medicines fluidifying the blood, or anything for blood sugar regulation, check with your GP or pharmacist before starting. Not because there's a red flag here specifically, it's just sensible practice whenever you're adding something new to the mix.

Do I need to cycle it or take breaks?

You can generally use it every day without cycling on and off. If you're not sure, ask a healthcare professional, particularly if you've got an existing condition.

Can I stack this with a multivitamin or other supplements?

Generally yes, but keep an eye on total intake if you're already taking B vitamins or magnesium elsewhere. Doubling up on the same nutrients from two different products is the main thing to watch for.

Forgot to take it yesterday, what now?

Just carry on as normal today. No need to double up to make up for a missed day.

Still on the fence?

You've got 180 days to try it properly. If it's not for you, that's what the guarantee is there for.

Storage & Use

Keep it somewhere cool and out of direct light, under 25°C if you can manage it, and the powder holds up fine. Nothing fancy needed, just don't leave the tub sitting on a sunny windowsill.

Screw the lid back on properly after each scoop, and keep it well out of reach of kids, same as you would with any supplement. Manufactured under GMP certification and current European safety standards, for what it's worth, but a decent diet and lifestyle still do most of the heavy lifting.

⚠️ Worth saying plainly: nothing on this page is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Julie and the rest of the team aren't doctors, and we're not promising this fixes anything.

If you're already on medication, dealing with a chronic condition, or just not sure, have a quick word with your GP before adding Nutri-Hydrate into your routine. Better to check first than guess.

Good stuff, mixes well and doesn't taste weird like some of these powders do. Been using it about a month, feels like less of a slump in the afternoons. Delivery was quick too. Would order again.
